Finally !!!!!!

The war that never ever ever, should have ever ever been started, except that some Jerkassoffolus needed to impress his mom, or show up his old man, or make good on a frat boy bet, or show the world how big he thought his dick was or... comes to an end. Kinda sorta.

What's a "non-combat troop?" ??? Because there's what, 50,000 of them still over there? So has the dying really ended? When the leading cause of death among troops is suicide, what the fuck? We have soldiers coming home who've known more war and fighting in their young adult lives than peace. How will they, how can they, fit in? ???

I lay the blame for every death, every disability, every wounded psyche, squarely at the feet of one George W Bush. May there be a special place in Hell for him.

Surprised? NOT

When the Bush II crime syndicate defended their McCainisation of dubiously detained Guantonimites by stating that they had doctors present, were you really so fucking stupid as to believe they did that to safeguard their victims health? Really? Admit that and admit that you are truly too fucking stupid to be a moron. You give possible reason for the Sarah Palin - Chuck Grassly Death Panels to leave the realm of their evil twisted imaginations and become a reality.

Just read.

h/t to Raw story and Physicians for Human Rights for confirming what the sensible among us already knew.

So.... can we now PLEASE have the investigations we've been clamoring for since BEFORE you were elected Mr Obama? ???

Cheney Being Cheney...

I keep hearing lots of wonderings about the motives behind Dick Cheney's Magical Media Tour. Is he trying to Piss in the jury pool as Thom Hartmann puts it? Is he trying to double dog dare the Dems and call their bluff? Or shame them into doing things his way? Is doing this out of fear? Malice? Some sense of duty?

So many theories; so little time. Sometimes we over complicate things, and avoid the simple explanation right beneath our nose. I believe we're doing that now.

As a child, studying and reading history, about tyrants, dictators, despots and the pain, suffering and wars they created, one of the ideas that seemed to always be implied if not stated outright was:

That can't happen here. Not in America.

It's this same idea that leads to the Bushian idea that democracies are automatically stable and good. We've fought a lot of wars to keep the peace and make the world safe for democracy. Destroyed a lot of villages to save them. If there's evil in the world, it 's not us.

I've said for a long time now that Dubya's genius was encapsulated in his idiot persona. It was an act, formulated to be a smoke screen for his evil nature, intent and actions. Cheney on the other hand has never made the slightest effort to disguise his nature. Shoot a guy in the face? Hush it uo and wait for him to apologize. The American people don't think the Iraq war has been worth it in blood, treasure, etc. "So?"

Dick Cheney is defending torture, because it's his. He's the proud poppa. He's defending his baby's honor. His masturbatory fantasies cum to life.

This fucker... Is really one truly evil mother fucker.

The Road Too Much Travelled

No, this is not a road trip post. Although I have been on the road quite a bit over the past two days. And that plays a part. Being on the road has given me the chance to listen in on some of my favorite radio shows on AM 1090 here in Seattle: Stephanie Miller; Thom Hartmann; Ed Schultze.

What's struck me is the amount of time and attention being given to irrelevant, bullshitious side show topics like: The (in)effectiveness of torture. A bullet to the head is quite effective in preventing your lover from cheating, but that's murder. And it's illegal.

I know that by giving air time to this crap, they avoid the trap that I fall into: Torture is a war crime; Dubya is a war criminal; end of argument; now what do I talk about for the rest of the show/week/month..? But it's irrelevant whether or not it worked. Just as it's irrelevant that we're "at war." The moral bearings of those subjected to torture is irrelevant.

One of the things that came out during one of Thom's shows was the fact that after 9-11, the Muslim world was united and ON OUR SIDE! There's nothing inherently anti-American about Islam. bin Laden was inspired to do what he did on 9-11 by what we did in Lebanon. And those swelling the ranks of al Qaida are inspired by our actions in Afghanistan, Iraq... and abu Graib, Guantanamo, Bagram...

I don't give a rat's hairy ass if Nancy Pelosi knew about Bush's torture. Or Jane Harmon, or Harry Reid, or... Try them too. They should have their asses kicked just for continuing to use the term "enhanced interrogation." It's TORTURE. And if they knew and approved, then they're, what's the correct term? Assessories? Accomplices? Whatever. Arrest them and try them too. If Congress has to shut down because there's no quorum, so be it.

We're supposedly the good guys.

Then we should act like it.

We should begin by abiding by our own laws. By the treaties we've signed. By past precedents set during say the Nuremberg Tribunals, or the Andersonville Trials.

So where do I get off saying all this? Am I one of Joe Scarborough's morally superior Liberals? or as he said, Liberals who like to get all high and mighty with a sense of moral superiority. It's like this Joe: When you (or your ilk) argue in favor of torture, you place yourself on the same plain as those who would argue in favor of beating their wives or children to keep them in their place and teach them respect. I do nothing.

Am I morally superior to the Scar? I don't know. I suppose if I were given the chance to waterboard Sean Vannity....? What would be the measure? If I stopped when he shit his pants and sputtered his choked off squeals? If I ignored all that? Or if I never started? By ol' thumbs up to Keith O for calling out that little poppinjay. Any wayyyyy....

Don't get caught up in all the superfluity of assenine legal quackdom. Those who authorized, justified, exercised torture are criminals and should be tried as such.

Bullshitiousness and Douchebaggery... Part...

Oh Hell, I forget what part. But there's new shovellers and nozzles involved.

Obama... he continues to dismay and disappoint me. His latest failure regards his release of the torture memos. Why the fuck release them and yet promise no prosecutions? ??? There is no other way to say it: This is Bull Shit, plain and simple.

I suppose if Dan Abrams was still on the air that he would be calling this a "slight move to the center," again. Like when he voted for the Freedom Is Superfluous Act, to cancel the Fourth Amendment. I'm more inclined to believe the extreme right actually may be right -- by accident -- in calling him a Fascist with this move.

Waterboarding is torture. There is NO arguing. Torture is a war crime. These memos, these decriminalizing, "legal justifications" are CRAP. Those who performed the 183 waterboardings of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed... Six times a day, for a month? ??? and those who justified it, those who authorized it, and those who would cover it up -- Still there Barack? -- are war criminals. Just like those past enemies WE put on trial in the past:
After Japan surrendered, the United States organized and participated in the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, generally called the Tokyo War Crimes Trials. Leading members of Japan's military and government elite were charged, among their many other crimes, with torturing Allied military personnel and civilians. The principal proof upon which their torture convictions were based was conduct that we would now call waterboarding.
Acting in good faith? Bullshit.

Following orders? Bullshit.

Always done in the presence of doctors? Bullshit.

What if there was a ticking time bomb.... blah blah... Fucking Bull Shit.

A crime is a crime and it should be punished.

Fuck Truth Commissions. Fuck Congressional Hearings.

Obama blew it on FISA. He's blowing it here. Hopefully his Attorney General has spine enough to do what's right.

The Magical History Tour

h/t to the inestimable Ms Rachel Maddow for the title.

As Dub takes us all on a last spin around the dance floor, attempting to baffle us with his bull shit, since he has no brilliance with which to dazzle us...

Oh fuck...

Who's trying to kid who here? It's allllllllll about the shoes. It will forevvvvverrrrrr be about the shoes.

The fucking irony: Here's the fake cowboy, with his fake ranch and his fake diplomacy, that resulted in all too real death and destruction, trying to bask in some sort of warm afterglow of re-written historical sunshine, and instead he's ducking some guy's shit stompers. As my brother described it:
My congratulations to the standing president of the United States on his excellent 1st set during the Olympic qualifying rounds of dodge ball; ahh err dodge shoe..... He showed great composure, deft ducking ability, gave an excellent head fake, and kept his eyes fixed on his opponent while preparing for a much easier 2nd duck. He got a bye round during the 2nd set in Afghanistan and will proceed on out of the round robin – into the quarterfinals. He will probably be given a well deserved first seed in the London Olympics.
A little more polite and deferential, but then my brother's not... well... he sent that to my mom so... He's also got kids so... Oh hell I can't explain why he's so nice. Now me on the other hand...

I cannot find words that convey the depths of the disgust and negativity of my feeling toward this...this... Somehow even words like fucktard and douchenozzle just don't do it. I've yet to refer to Bush as a man, because I don't believe he is one. He's some undefined "it" that has no redeeming quality whatsoever.

"So someone threw a shoe at me; so what?" So what? You ass wipe. You supposedly represent this country, and you say, "So what?" You are worth less than worthless.

Only 34 fucking days of this ass wipe's reign of error left, but it seems like 34 forevers. Just shut the fuck up and go the fuck away. If Paraguay will still accept your sorry ass.

I was going to throw up the old Michael Jordan-Spike Lee Nike add: It's the shoes, but talking about Bush just saps the humor out of everything in this life.

So who do I see about getting a poster or t-shirt with this guy on it? And No, I don't mean Bush.

So.....

Ted Stevens is, for now, a convicted felon.

Ted Stevens cannot vote. Not for president. Not to put himself back in the Senate. But,

Should he be elected to the Senate

He'll be able to vote bills into laws that all we law abiding, non-felons will have to obey.

Besides Refuckyoucans, to whom does this make sense? ???

Another question:

Should the Senate attempt to remove him, would he resist in Bush-like, Palin-like, Rove-like, Miers-like, oh hell, refuckyoucan fashion: Subpoena, schumoena. Laws are for little people.

Just asking.

Sunday, August 31, 2008

This is what you get

When you reach across the aisle.

When you cooperate with refuckyoucans.

When you give in to their demands.

When you embrace their version of bi partisanship.

You turn the Constitution and the Bill of Rights into toilet paper.

Writers like Art Thiel -- a sports writer mind you-- can criticize the Chinese for their practices during the Olympics:

The most embarrassing development was the creation of protest "pens," public places where grievances against the government or Olympics could be demonstrated. Intended as a cheap ploy to mollify the West, the pens became worse -- bait to lure complainers to their arrests.

and we can all agree and wag our finger and find ways to feel and express our supposed superiority, as if to recite our age-old chorus of, "I'm glad that can't happen here."

Well guess what Ostriches.

It's happening. And it's worse that what Thiel describes. FAR worse.

see Crooks and Liars... Glenn Greenwald... Firedoglake... want a video..?

How about some local viewpoints?

And people still vote for these assholes

Define Irony

Dubya...

Who brought us illegal wiretaps before 9-11-01
Who brought us the Patriot Act, which has nothing to do with patriotism
Who brought us Guantanamo
Who brought back waterboarding and other forms of torture
Who beat back the Geneva Conventions
Who illegally invaded a country
Who routinely defies Congress
Who routinely ignores the Constitution
Who cages opposing voices in "free speech" zones
Who requires loyalty oaths to enter his fund raisers
Who allows elections third world countries wouldn't sanction
Who denies citizens their rights to the courts
Who... well anyway. I do want to get to bed tonight

He's criticizing the Chinese...? The ones to whom he sold us...?

Yeah right. Ass hole

Lotsa Time on my Hands Today

Had "trigger finger releases" done yesterday as part of the seemingly never ending saga that started with a carpal tunnel release, so I'm home. Yes I brought work home, but... that's like work, ya know..? Any wayyyyy...

Somewhere in all the memories of the talk about Fuckstain's Illegal Surveillance Act, I think it was Jonathon Turley, talking with Rachel Maddow as she filled in for Fascist-Enabler Keith Olberman, who said something about the true intent of this capitulation being a means of Congress covering up their complicity in Dubya's MANY illegal activities, domestic and international. This is not new. Check this out:

"Our" 2006 vote for change seems to be working out so fucking well..... Sheeyit.

What Am I Missing Here?

Or am I missing anything?

I hear these fucking tools like Joe Scarborough, and even Dan Abrams talk about "Obama moving to the center," on issues like FISA. Goes along with the "B side" of their record that says he's "standing up to the left."

Since when is the 4th Amendment, which protects us, our persons, papers, effects (or is it affects?)... from illegal, unwarranted searches and seizures. Very explicitly, might I add. Since when is this some "leftist" idea? And the Constitution. Another collection of Leftist whimsical notions and masturbatory fantasies?

Did the founding fathers and the documents they wrote and defended with their lives and livelihoods become the inspiration for Marx and Hegel and Lenin and Trotsky and..?

Were Hitler and Mussolini and Stalin centrists?

How the fuck has normalcy been stood on its head?

How the fuck has Bush's version of Naziism become centrist? ya know I had to wonder back on Father's Day, when I got a card and a hug from the grandmonster, just what kind of times Dubya had as he sat on his Grampy Prescott's knee? How he mourned the failure of his attempted coup... how he wished and wondered what could have been if only we were the Nazi nation he so desired us to be... "George... you must succeed, where I have failed."

I watch Barack and listen to all this shit and I have to wonder:

Barack... Did you sit on Prescott's other knee?

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

WOW! Where will the Nazis Go? ???

You all really need to look at this Paraguay shit. Fuck if if oil and gas isn't involved here too. Little beady-eyed bastard never fucking stops does he?

Now don't go accusing me of not being fair and balanced.

Scratch one Country Off of My List (UPDATED)

As I've been sitting here, sniffling and wheezing, while whining about the lack of credible candidates for Prez, I was also trying to think of where I'd go to live if/when Dub crowns himself Emperor.

Kelso likes Panama.

Bukko (who fairly regularly comments here) likes Australia.

Firestarter seems to have no plans to leave Canada, even though his sista lives here.

I'm not sure how stable Costa Rica is anymore, but it seems it's always been one of the most civilized of the Central American countries. One thing seems for sure though:

It won't be Paraguay.

I can live near Mengele and his blue eyed Indians, but not Dub. No. Ain't gonna happen.

Tip of the hat to ProudProgressive whose comment I found on David E's Fablog, via Mike's Blog Roundup on Crooks and Liars.

Thank you once again for the blog love Mr Mike.

UPDATE: Just cuzz I ain't gonna be his neighbor doesn't mean you can't. Good deals!
