The other day I mentioned to someone that I still have my "Kucinich for President" banner on my blog. I was considering taking it down since it's only been, what? A year? More? Since he had to officially drop out of the race...?

I think I'm going to keep it up.

Maybe it's a sign of bitterness. Maybe I'm being petty. Maybe I'm being a poor example of a good rubber stamp of all things Obama. "Bad Nazi; no doughnut."

Every time Obama makes another "centrist move," look at it and think of what could have been.

The "Shoulda Been the Keynote" Speech

Dennis
Kucinich

Ahh what could have been.

DCup Said:

I think the Party has bought into the corporate media bullshit that Americans are more conservative than they are. Because of this, Kucinich is not taken as seriously as he should be. Plus, he's not so owned by corporate interests and that's hardly popular in political circles.

Sigh.

To which I Respond

I much more than heartily agree.

When Barack "moves to the center," and "stands up to the far left of the party," by embracing and justifying Fascist-Nazi-Totalitarian bullshit like FISA, there's everything a person needs to know about how close to the abyss this party really is. I've been sending back every piece of mail asking for donations, letting them know just what I think.

Kucinich's claim to fame from his mayoral days was to refuse to sell the public utilities to make payments on public debt. He got crucified and kicked to the curb for many years. My brother in law (the one I respect) who grew up and lived in Ohio thinks DK is nuts. Public utilities should ALWAYS be exactly that: Public. -ly owned and operated.

Free markets are anything but. They legalize and promote, piracy and extortion. Corporations will cut the public's collective throat for peanuts. They live for deregulation and lawlessness.

I've been telling people for months if not years: If you want to see an example of the Neo-con wet dream, look at Iraq. Contractor immunity? Minimal corporate taxes? A disbanded civil service? Army? Police force? Gimme a fucking break.

The rational (liberal) mind looks at those issues as scandalous fuck-ups, when in the "neo-con reality" they are rousing success stories of the journey into democracy. And being water-boarded with single malt isn't torture.

Let's see what the Bubba Meister has to say. Listening now...

Better Late than Never? ???

I'd like to give a resounding, "YES!!!" but...

Of course I refer to Kucinich's articles of impeachment. I fucking knew there was a reason I kept his banner up. I just can't fucking believe it took so long. High crimes and misdemeanors? Fucker broke the damn FISA law. End of story. He belongs in jail. OK, so someone finally gets their ass in gear; now what?

I really have no confidence that this will come to anything. Nothing's been done with the articles against Cheney. I don't see what will make a difference here. Madam Speaker, Nancy Off-the-Table Pelosi acts like impeachment was gangrenous spooge.

Nice going Dennis.

Treasonous Berkeley? ???

I don't think so. I wish Seattle could be so bold. I remember a couple years ago we had a similar situation in the Seattle High Schools. I can't remember how it ended up, but I remember there were quite a few parents who wanted the recruiters OUT, and they were PISSED that the schools were giving recruiters info on their kids. I work with a guy who lives in this county, but not in the city, who was about ready to pass out knuckle sandwiches to get the recruiters to leave them alone. The fuckers wouldn't even keep from calling during dinner time. So...

I have to say I agree with the opposition on this one to wit:

"It's very, very important for everyone to stand united ... to give our Marines and all of our military the greatest respect and honor that they deserve."

They're right. We really should unite. And absolutely, we should give them all the respect and honor they deserve. The only problem is that the opposition and I disagree on HOW this should be done. I can't speak for (all) of them in any definitive manner, but we need to

1) Get them the hell out of there. Does no fucking good to argue that they should never have been there, just get them out. They deserve better then to be toys for Dubya's amusement.

2) We need to fully fund the Veteran's Administration in all respects. We need to revitalize and enhance the GI bill, and that does NOT mean employ more bill collectors to harass returning/ wounded soldiers about missing equipment. Walter Reed and all hospitals and outpatient facilities need total renovation and modernization.

3) While I HATE this war and all it's done to the world and this country, we should have had a draft all this time. There is NO fucking way the burden this, or ANY, war should fall on the shoulders of a class of people: the young out of work kids from recession hit families and cities. If the cause is so fucking noble, then let the lily white assed country club kids have their chance at heroism. Basically...

We show respect by what we DO. What we say, doesn't mean shit. And in the meantime...

Refuckyoucans are threatening the city AND the University of Cal-Berkeley with the RECALL of DEDICATED funds. Hmmmm... Is this another of those dirty little secrets the press won't talk about? How the Bush crime syndicate controls congress and the masses? Did they threaten Pete Stark into his tearful apology? Did they threaten Chris Dodd into dropping his filibuster? Did they threaten Webb who held Congress in session over the holidays? Did they threaten Landrieu from Louisiana, or bribe her with empty promises of more polluted FEMA trailors? What about McCaskill from Missouri? What do they have to hold over her? And over the other Dems who sold us down the river by failing to keep Dub from having his Goddamn retroactive/ ex post facto telecom immunity in his Spy on Innocent Citizens Act? ???

Remember that, all you who failed so miserably to support the only Presidential candidate who believed in the constitution: Dennis Kucinich.

What matters is what you DO!

The Plundering of My Virginity or...

I did my first caucus yesterday. Whoopty Fuckin' Do. My precinct shook out pretty much like the whole state did. Of our six alloted delegates, we sent 4 for Barack and 2 for Hillary. I did have some thoughts about being a hard core undecided and maybe that way move along in the process and get to inject an issue or two, like say TRUE universal health care as opposed to the Faux brands out there in Mittsachussetts. Mandated/forced coverage is NOT universal. When it comes time to choose between food on the table or an insurance card in your pocket, people WILL choose to eat, and risk the fines imposed. Kucinich and Edwards had the best ideas, but as I've cried before, they're gone. Anyway...

I went with Barack.

Even though he's incredibly naive, thinking Refuck/conservative/corporate entities actually have any intent of cooperating or agreeing to anything but their ideas lock, stock and barrel.

I hope he proves me wrong. He is after all a very inspiring speaker. Maybe he'll be able to convince some of them that there is an entity out their more important than themselves. That would be the country... this one... the USA... and that perhaps giving up and giving back just a wee tad bit of their amassed fortune for the benefit of that country will in the end return to them with interest. Hop on my knee... story time..:

A couple of weeks before my mother in law's last, we had a guy at work come down with viral spinal meningitis. Now it's viral,so anti-biotics don't do shit for you. You just gotta ride it out. Well, we do have insurance, through the company/union, but we don't have sick days. So... the Mother fucker has to come to work sick, cuzz he can't afford to stay home and get better. LUCkily no one else came down with it, but a couple of us came down with nasty-assed-fucking colds that may have been weakened versions or related somehow. I missed 3 days, and my MIL is gone.

Because Morons like the Republican -- the other brother in law -- and his ilk, believe that ANYthing that goes to benefit the 90% that's in charge of 10% of the country's wealth, is a hand out -- although he's always looking for ways to get his meds for free, huh..? -- we lose shit loads of man hours and productivity because of secondary illnesses. Illness spread by people who can't afford to stay home and get better. Whoa....

oh yeah... caucuses...

Like I say, it was a first for me. Fairly simple really. We started out with 9 out of 72 people being undecided, but in the end they all declared. I think they went about 7-2 or 8-1 Obama. Then we chose real people to be delegates and alternates, with no whining, crying, pissing or moaning actually. A couple of people who offered themselves stepped back to allow some who reeeeeeeeally wanted the positions. Since I was going for the lesser evil, I could not, did not, try to become a delegate. There's a second round of caucuses in the next few weeks to choose delegates to the statewide convention, where they will then choose the delegates that move on the the national convention.

Did I mention that in the meantime we will also have a primary, complete with ballots and Diebold readers. Supposedly don't mean fuckall, but we're having it. Maybe I'll go cast a vote for Kucinich. Several of us actually bounced the idea around. What everrrrr...

All told, it took about 1 1/2 hours of my boob tubin' time that I'll never ever get back, butcha gotta do whatcha gotta do to try to bring some sanity back to the world, eh?

Saw some cuties I didn't know lived in the neighborhood too.

DNC... the Do Nothing (?) Committee? ???

Over at Betmo's other corner, there's a link to an article by Laura Flanders, praising the efforts of John Dean to rebuild the Democratic Party's infrastructure and organization... his Fifty State Strategy. As much as I like reading, and listening to, Laura Flanders, and as much as I do respect the vision and efforts of Dean, I could only read halfway through before I felt frustration build almost to rage.

About a month ago, I agreed to pledge $20 to the DNC. Chicken feed, I know, but still. You get on one fucking mail-list-for-sale, and pretty soon you got everybody crawling up your asshole looking for pennies. Even at the time I was reluctant. I had to first make sure the lady to whom I was talking didn't work for Rahm Emanuel -- he seems to nobless obligie or noblessie oblige or... he seems like a haughty fucking prick. Then I had to bitch about why the Party was so silent about Kucinich being blackballed by the media and shut out from debates, not the I got a totally satisfactory answer. Somehow, they finally got me to agree to the $20, although lemme tell me, I don't remember their first request, but it wasn't that fucking low. So...

I got a reminder notice the other day. Like I have an overdue library book; at least they have sense enough not to try charging me a late fee; for now. Oh and of course in the mean time they also sat back while Edwards got shunned like a hot-to-trot little Amish girl. So, before I consider parting with twenty of my hard earned, yet worthless, dollars, I would like to fucking know....

What the fuck do these people really fucking do? ??? I mean for ME? ??? and You too, ok. But seriously,

Are they delivering the BEST candidates?

Are they pushing the truly important issues?

Are they EVER going to do,
or say,
ANYTHING
about that criminal fuck stain's action? ???

What the fuck will my $20 dooooooo......???????? By someone a mouse pad? A mug for their pens and pencils? Some bulbs for their light box? I know... a calling card so they can make more calls for more money, to buy more phone time to make more calls to make more money, tobuymoretimetomakemorecallstomakemoremoney...........

I must have been left behind as a child, eh? In need of some edjuhkayshun? what...
ever.

In the meantime, here's a lesson on better things we can all do with pennies up our assholes

Thanks to Doug, Chancellor of the Sexchequer.

A Little Magic via the Google, and...

We have a reaction that really means/says something. I wish I could figure out how to embed it, but I'm just a guy (as Bill Engvall would say.) Oh well...

then think about what could have been if not for our corrupt as hell media, and all those idiots who sold us the idiotic notion of "electability."

Saturday, January 26, 2008

Well Fuck! Now What?

Kucinich is gone. Thanks ABC, MSNBC, DesMoines Register, and all you Fuckers out there who love the term, "Electable," and love even more to say Kucinich was not. Lemme tell you something...

What makes people electable is not some predetermined set of traits that somehow descend magically from heaven. It's not some crown that some dumbass like Chris Matthews spews out of his ass either. Kerry was somehow supposed to be electable. Yeah, right. THAT worked out well. Obama wasn't electable till, voila, people in Iowa (drum roll please) Voted and Elected (nominated) him.

Electability is really that simple: You get your fat ass up and out of your chair, and you go fucking vote. With enough votes, a person is elected. Why the fuck, do people let asswipes like Matthews, O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage... ANYone in the media, mainstream or otherwise, tell them who is electable and who is not? ??? WHY?

I don't fucking get it. All the fucking media cares about is getting their hands on the advertising bucks. Why the fuck do you think they've let 9u11iani hang around for so long? Not because any one is voting for him, that's for damn sure.

OK, I know Kucinich looks like Little Alfalfa. Fuck that. I was voting for him.

I know he said he saw a UFO and that Tweety shit all over him for it. Fuck that. I was voting for him.

I know he's a vegan. Fuck that. Rack of ribs on the grill, I was still voting for him.

The reason I still wish I could vote for him?

The Summbitch is RIGHT
The first time
On damn near everything I think is important

Patriot Act? Iraq? Iran? Health care? FISA? Impeachment? Trade agreements?

He's right. And he gets shit right the first fucking time.

No need to waffle like Hillary: My vote to invade Iraq was really a vote to send in inspectors. Or Barack: My votes of "present" are really over procedural issues and not a vote to avoid voting. Edwards? Well, to his credit, at least has the balls to admit his fuck ups.

About the only thing I disagree with Dennis about is Ethanol. I think it's totally stupid to use a food source for fuel in gas guzzling cars. Yeah, you lose the farmer vote by opposing it, but you keep meat prices from rising like they have. I guess that doesn't matter when you eat tofu and portabella mushrooms instead of steak. So...

Now What? Or should I say, "Who?"

A long time ago, I did like Hillary. Then she opened her mouth. 35 years experience? Oh pulleaze. If fucking someone who holds an office gives you experience, there's a shit load of wives out there who deserve to be in some sport hall of fame. Calling her out on her voting record is mud-slinging. And there's something honorable about having your spouse lie so you don't have to? I think not. She's really nothing but another member of the Old Boy Network, but in panties.

Barack's one hell of a speaker, but I think he's horribly naive. There is no fucking way the Refuckyoucans are going to sit down and find any common ground other than their own. Cocksuckers like Tom Delay are salivating, waiting for the chance to chew him up and spit him out. I know he means well, but his Politics of Hope are just Pie in the Sky dreams. I wonder if he believes in Santa and the Easter Bunny..?

Which leaves me, I guess, with Edwards.

Don't you dare fucking drop out Jon. I am sick and fucking tired of voting for the lesser of evils.

He Apologizes; Holy Shit

Probably old news, but I just heard it last night from Randi Rhodes. I can't remember verbatim, but he ate crow big time, especially for his bull shit about Hillary -- who I do NOT endorse, BTW -- only getting elected Senator because people felt sorry for her because of Bill's skirt chasing. Before Randi played a recording of Tweety's apology, she went through a litany of episodes of Tweety's belittling of, as well as his gushing and fawning over, chicks on his show. From herself, to Hill to Liz Edwards to Laura Ingraham to, you name her. I don't remember Rachel Maddow, but then as cute as she is, she's openly gay (Does he realize he would just make her more gay? and not convert her?) I don't remember Ann Cuntner being mentioned either, but then she isn't really human, so... would she count?

Ok, but what really surprised me were the examples of man-love. His admiration of Commander Codpiece's aviator package; his admiration of Rudy 9u11iani; his admiration of Forrest Gump Fred Thompson (probably just wants his old lady; must drive him bugshit crazy that an alfalfa look-alike like Dennis Kucinich -- who I DO endorse -- has a much hotter wife.) Next time he's on with Olbermann I'll have to watch his eyes; see if he's trying to look through the desk. Anyway... two things:

I wonder how long it will take Tweety to go back on his word and slam/belittle Hillary or some other woman...?

I wonder if he'll do his fawning over some dude first..?

Crooked News Network

I'm not at all impressed with CNN. At, Friggin, All!

I was looking around and happened to come across a link to the candidates' reactions to the Bhutto assassination. Notice anything? There's no link to any comment by Dennis Kucinich.

Hmmm... Did he drop out and I missed it?

Fuckers.

IOWA = Idiots Out Wandering Around

I was told that by a Nebraskan, but...

It fits those of the Des Moines Register who banned Dennis Kucinich from todays debate. I've heard that he's also been banned (in bushlike fascist style) from ALL public appearances. He's not renting office space. Have fun with the left over corn cobs from your moon shine car fuel. Face it you.... whatevers:

He's right on ALL the issues (except ethanol), but he doesn't have the money to pass along to them as advertising. I really don't give a fuck. I'll write him in.

What a Jerk

My letter to Matthews and MSNBC:

I just want to say that Chris Matthews' conduct including both his choice of questions and commentary regarding Dennis Kucinich and UFOs was despicable. Looking at Matthews, I honestly don't see what your network seems to see as talent. He comes off as buffoonish and stupid more times than not, and last night was no exception. It seemed to me as though he viewed his purpose as, how to make the candidates look foolish, especially in the cases of Kucinich and Richardson. I would have expected such behavior from Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, or any of the other spewers from Faux News, but not from representatives of NBC, which I assume still views itself as a legitimate news network.

h/t to JP for the suggestion to write as well as the email addresses.
