I'm Not Sure Which is Worse:

Dan Quayle: (The Preznit Dubya we never had) appearing on, Dancing With the Stars. or

Nancy Pelosi's appearing on, The View?

Did she really say that she didn't know if Dubya had/has committed any crimes? ??? Ooo ooo oooo... and then there's this: She's not sure when/if she's going to call for a full House vote on the recommendation to hold Rove in contempt? September? ???

What the fuck is with this woman? ??? How the hell did she raise kids and not have them walk all over her? Or did the old man do that? Or was her family the inspiration for, "Super Nanny?"

Is she blind? Is she stupid? Or does she just not fucking give a damn? Can't really do anything about the last two, but if the first option is the problem, try this Nance:

Put the bra over your tits, not you eyes. Stop disgracing yourself and the office you hold.

Speaks for Itself:

"Nothing is going to come out of this hearing with regard to impeachment of the President. I know it, the media knows it, even the Speaker knows it. ... This hearing will not cause us to impeach the President; it will only serve to impeach our own credibility."-

Spoken by a disgruntled Democrat?

A member of a group such as Code Pink, like maybe Cindy Sheehan?

The ACLU? EFF?

Keith O? Rachel Maddow? George Soros? Tweety or the Wolfman?

Try Refuckyoucan Rep Lamar Smith.

What intrigues me is not the fact that no Refuckyoucan ever seems to step out of cadence with Cummander Codpiece, i.e. There will be no impeachment. No, what intrigues me is his use of "our" when he speaks of credibility. Not, "they" as in the Dems' credibility. No, "us/our" as if he knows that people do, and will, look in wonder at the trance-like-as-if-drug-induced mentality that the Refucks have exhibited as they've helped this MoFo turn this country into a piss-stained-puked-on dumpster from one of his college memories.

Could it be that he's giving a backdoor/left-handed endorsement of impeachment?

This could be interesting if some "journalist" actually picks up on it and asks him what he means.

PS The notion that these hearings are much ado about nothing is absolutely correct. Nancy Pelosi's so fucking blind to what this country needs she couldn't find her.. never mind. And not to be sexist: I don't think Conyers could pour piss out of a boot if the directions were on the heel.

Maybe Dubya's the Wrong One to Impeach?

Remember the days when the "Fuck yous," we got were the "Fuck yous," we expected, because the refuckyoucans held the majority in both Houses of Congress? I've read that what often times is most traumatizing about sexual abuse of minors is that in most case the abuse is carried out by someone the child knows and trusts. Granted, we are not children (I speak of the "us/we" who voted in a Democratic majority), but still we thought we had reason to trust those we voted in.

Aaahhh the memories of Jim Webb's response to Dubya's State of the Division Address, when he said to the effect that if Bush couldn't see the path down which he needed to take the country, then "...we will show you..." Riiiiiight. With all do respect to Mr Webb, where the fuck are you letting this fuckstain take us? What's changed?

I remember the first "Emergency" Iraq funding bill this new congress faced. It was the first time, I believe, that Bush used a veto (unless you count his unconstitutional use of signing statements as a line item veto). Did they do as some like John Edwards suggested, and send him the same bill, to let him no he wasn't going to get what he wanted? No. They crawled and kowtowed and rolled over and I don't think they played dead, I think they actually died, or at least it was then that any reason for us to hope and trust died.

They did just as the refuckyoucans did: They gave the fucker exactly what he wanted. But they didn't stop there. No, they lied and tried to put lipstick on their little piggy by calling their "efforts" a compromise. Remember the skidbenchmarks? Riiiight. The only thing compromised was our trust.

This coming week, it's going to happen all over again. FISA.

I've said it over and over that there is no more reason for impeachment needed than the FACT that this little piss ant Napolean wannabe who tries to act like the actor who acted like a president, broke the god damned law! !!! oh.... to keep us safe. If you believe that claim, I wanna sell you some beach front development property on MARS. And don't even try to tell me that as long as I'm not breaking any laws, I'll have nothing to worry about. That's nothing but a red herring, meant to cover over the fact that the law is being broken, the constitution violated and the foundation for a dictatorship is being laidbuilt upon.

Tell that shit to the Holocaust survivors. And to their descendants. And to the Japanese internment victims. And to their descendants.

Tell that shit to the Americans who will be interned in the camps being built at present here in the US by Halliburton and KBR.

Remember that bullshit when the 5000th American dies in the War to Enrich American Corporations.

Remember that bullshit when Bush gets up and laughs as he tells his next lie as he justifies his violation of another of the Bill of Rights.

Remember that bullshit when he stands up and laughs as he explains how the American people need to understand that allowing the election of Barack Obama to go forward will send the wrong message to the enemy, so he has no choice but to overturn it.

So as Nancy and Steny and Harry and the gang on more fucking time, bend over and spread their cheeks for a reaming, by decriminalizing illegal wire tapping, and by stripping the courts of their constitutional power to be a check on a rogue executive, and by redefining bi-partisan so as to mean, "giving up on principal and giving in to refuckyoucan neocon ideology," remember the country that was.

I'm really not going to feel very good when I say, "I told you so."

I Don't Care How Hot Her Mother-of-Five Tits Are

Nancy Pelosi's full of shit on this one: She thinks she's leading, but on impeachment, she needs to get the fuck out of the way and follow. The charges need to be brought. The debate needs to happen. The votes need to be recorded.

It has NOTHING to do with partisan politics or any other such refuckyoucan talking point/cliche. It has to do with respect for the rule of law, the constitution, the character of this nation. it has to do with the acknowledgment that we are NOT beasts.

A guy named Joel Connelly did a column in the Seattle PI today and quoted Ms Nancy:

"My opposition to him (Bush) is not personal, but I oppose his positions vehemently," she said. By and large, I think his presidency has harmed our country greatly -- with the war, the deficit, the economic downturn and (the money shot here) the continuous assaults on the constitution."

Is it a chick thing? That she can't or won't attempt impeachment because it isn't a foregone conclusion that the fucker will be found guilty and actually be removed. Does she really think that an increase in the minimum wage is a fair trade off for a dismantled constitution? I've heard the rationale that during impeachment proceedings, nothing else gets done, and I've admitted to "understanding" that rationale. Well gee golly gosh, tell me what's gotten done without impeachment? ???

The refucks have stood in the way of EVERYTHING, with the intent of running against the notion of a "do nothing Democrat Congress." But forget that.

Impeachment is the RIGHT thing to do. It's the ONLY thing to do if you are a member of congress and a citizen of this nation, the world and mankind, with a conscience and a moral compass.

I remember listening to Ed Schultz and hearing him talk about a time when Ms Titsy was a guest on his show. She was stupid enough to say something about how she saw no reason to impeach, but if any listener did, she would listen. Fuckin phones went off the hooks. He laughed and laughed... "I really don't think there's a chance in hell she'll ever even answer our phone calls much less come back as a guest.," or some such.

Anyway....

Shit or get off the pot Nanc. You're not showing yourself to be for the country and the constitution. So you must be against them, eh?

Better Late than Never? ???

I'd like to give a resounding, "YES!!!" but...

Of course I refer to Kucinich's articles of impeachment. I fucking knew there was a reason I kept his banner up. I just can't fucking believe it took so long. High crimes and misdemeanors? Fucker broke the damn FISA law. End of story. He belongs in jail. OK, so someone finally gets their ass in gear; now what?

I really have no confidence that this will come to anything. Nothing's been done with the articles against Cheney. I don't see what will make a difference here. Madam Speaker, Nancy Off-the-Table Pelosi acts like impeachment was gangrenous spooge.

Nice going Dennis.

WOW... A Conservative's Case for Impeachment

One of the few cool things about my job is that I get to do a lot of different things. For the past several, I've had the chance to work in a quiet little corner, out of few and listen to my radio. I've been a total talk-radio addict for many years now (I just can't keep track of the 10-in-a-row shit and remember which songs I liked and who did them; I know jack shit about present day music) and since 100.7FM, which used to be a cool talk talk station, went country and dumped Tom Leykis, I've been listening to 1090AM which has a great lineup of progressive talk shows. I usually never get to listen during the day but these past few, I've been able to catch Thom Hartmann from 9-noon.

This guy has always impressed me with his knowledge of the issues and times surrounding the founding of this country. I don't know if he keeps a laptop by his side, with someway to do quick reference, or if he knows them by heart, but his knowledge of the Federalist Papers seems amazing.

Today one of his guests was conservative Bruce Fein. If it's possible, the guy's credentials are excellent, including affiliations with the American Enterprise Institute, the Heritage Foundation, etc, etc and authored the articles of impeachment for Bill Clinton. The only thing I don't see, is his name on the PNAC's statement of principles. He spent quite a bit of time on Thom's show, and made a clear cut and simple case for the impeachment of both W and his Dick. He made the case without even referring to "high crimes and misdemeanors," instead focusing on W's usurpation of powers not granted by the constitution. There was no mention of lying us into a war, outing Valerie Plame, or many of the other commonly cited reasons. Instead he kept referring to this10-point proposal, spelled out at the American Freedom Agenda web site.

When someone like this starts talking impeachment, it reeeeealy makes me wonder why the hell Nancy Pelosi keeps avoiding the subject. If our Constitutional government of laws is going to survive, impeachment NEEDS to happen.

Would Someone Please Suck His Cock? PLEASE?

I've basically been speechless this week, with the never ending stream of White house bull shit continuing unabated. From Bush's Cleveland speech where he once again excuses the whole insurance/pharma cartel from any responsibility over the rising cost and failing coverage of this country's health care system, to his once again, mooning and spitting in the face of Congress by declaring executive privilege in keeping Harriet Miers from testifying. The big question every day seems to be, "Which story takes the cake?" Is it his, AGAIN, declaring executive privilege and denying congress access to documents regarding the Pat Tillman scandal? or is it the scrambling to cover asses after Chertoff's gut rumbled, yet again rewriting the national intelligence estimate's declaration regarding the strength of al Qaida and their roles in Iraq and 9-11?

His lips move, he lies. More distressing, he lies and our beloved free press fails to call him on it, as if it's somehow more treasonous to point out betrayals of the public trust, than to actually do the betraying. Most distressing of all, impeachment is still "off the table."

He can threaten a veto of a provision to lower the cost of his prescription drug nightmare by allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower prices and somehow that's OK.

He can ignore all evidence and link al Qaida with Iraq and with 9-11 and somehow that's OK.

He can declare that we must stay in Iraq to prevent it from becoming a terrorist training ground -- which it became long ago -- while allowing such a training ground to exist unmolested in Pakistan and somehow that's OK.

He can totally turn his back on New Orleans and the victims of Hurricane Katrina and somehow that's OK.

He can create the largest federal deficits in history so he can take credit for cutting them in half -- which he's failed to do, even through smoke and mirrors -- and somehow that's OK.

He can so bully the Surgeon General that he makes him little more than a snake handling tent preacher and somehow that's OK.

He can allow his Vice President to create a new branch of government to avoid any oversight or accountability and somehow that's OK.

He can tap phones and data mine the internet without warrants, out and out violating the FISA law and somehow that's OK.

He can do what he wants, say what he wants, about anything he wants, anytime he wants and somehow it's all just A-OK. When it's all said and done, he'll be able to look in the mirror and say that he followed his convictions. Yeah well, Dub

I'm sure that back in the day, Adolph Hitler could say the same thing.

Scooter Skates

I have no idea what all the blogger buzz is, and I didn't get to watch the end of Countdown to see if Keith had one of his patented rants, but I'm sure anyone with a brain in their head is livid. I'm actually shocked and surprised that it wasn't a full pardon. That W would pay lip service to, respecting the jury's decision, doesn't surprise me at all. So easily and fluidly do the lies flow forth after years of practice. I wonder if he even knows when he's lying anymore..?

Such total disregard for what Libby did. It's not just Libby, nor the crimes themselves that he committed, but the crimes of W, Dick and the rest, that he covered up. The unmitigated gall, the total lack of any moral compass, the high mindedness, the short sightedness and pettiness that these creatures exhibit enrages me. That he's sold so many on the notion that he's stupid, that he's a frat-boy, that he's just a stumble bum in over his head, shows the true depth of his, and his handlers, evil genius.

Joe Wilson called bullshit on one of his many lies, and in his pettiness, he took out his revenge on Wilson's wife. Somehow he felt entitled; to be above question. In their short sightedness and conceit, they refused to look beyond the outing of one individual, ignoring the fact that it was more than she they outed. They outed an entire covert network: agents, contacts, and all of their families and associates. No one with any hint of morality and values, would stoop so low as to put untold lives at risk, all for the petty end of attaining personal revenge.

Don't tell me you're a Christian, George. Don't tell me God talks to you. Not any God I've ever known. The only purity about you, is your evilness. What the fuck are you really doing? What are you really hiding?

This administration goes to such great pains to place as much distance between themselves and Bill Clinton as they can, proclaiming themselves to be the benevolent ones, here to put the country and the White House on a higher plain. I remember Bill being asked about his affair with Monica and him answering to the effect of, "I did it for the most despicable reason of all; I did it because I could."

Guess what, George, you treasonous bastard, you're worse than Clinton could ever hope to be. The fact that you could let Scooter skate, the fact that it's a power you didn't have to usurp to use, that for once the offense you commit may not be impeachable, doesn't make the action any less despicable. It may even make it more so.

Update

Well I'll be dipped. I wrack my brain and slave over my keyboard and come up with a catchy title, and what do I wake up to in the morning? This morning's Seattle PI headline.

On Impeachment

One of my kinda-sorta relatives sent me this email the other day:

There goes all respect I HAD for Obama..... He was a lecturer in constitutional law, and says impeachment should be reserved for grave breaches of presidential powers. Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/06/28/america/NA-POL-US-Obama-No-Impeachment.php

To which I responded thusly:

I wouldn't be too hard on him.

I KNOW W's a criminal, and really should be impeached/jailed/executed for treason/etc, but I've also heard several people/sources say that during an impeachment, NOTHING else gets done in Congress. Plus, when it comes down to voting to throw him out, I really doubt that they could muster enough repugnican votes to do it since it takes a 2/3s majority to declare a guilty verdict. Even if they did get him out (and they'd have to get rid of Cheney simultaneously), he's got so many incompetent cronies in place, it would take his remaining term and then some, to root them all out and replace them, so still nothing (or very little) would get done. So it seems like any way you look at it, we're fucked.

Sure, I'd much rather have Obama be more blunt and say something about how much he wishes he could impeach the bastard but can't because the republicans are just going to continue stand in the way of anything good for the country, but I suppose he has to worry about any little thing he says being twisted by Rove and his minions. Maybe he's being cautious for naught, since Rove will twist this anyway.
