Hey Rachel Maddow

I hear you're in Seattle, but can't find out anything more than that. E-mail me to confirm an invitation to dinner. A good friend is over and she's making a gooooood Spanish style paella. Or if tomorrow or Sunday is better, I can grill some ribs.

Update:

Better let me know soon Rachel; I like to let my ribs percolate with the rub for a good 6-8 hours before cooking. 2 hours would be the absolute minimum.

But hey... ribs aren't cast in stone. I could do a beer can chicken...? Or a cedar planked salmon...? or would that be too Palinesque? Tuna steaks...?

Update II:

All jokes and/or fantasies aside... seriously.... Just dinner. Drinks if you like. Conversation.

Update III:

Is she a vegetarian? I could do mushrooms..? Portabellas...? Psychedelics...?

Update IV:

I guess she's not coming. :sniffsniff: I even saved the good stuff and ate spaghetti last night.

I know what you mean. Odd thing is, that when I first heard her on the radio, I didn't really like her. I wanted someone else to replace Franken in Seattle's afternoon drive slot. She just seems to be a natural communicator: Smart, witty, engaging, clear, concise...

I understand that she was forced by Air America to get rid of Kent Jones, and I think it's really cool of her to bring him back on her TV show. One thing I'd change: I wish she would stop saying "crowbar Hotel;" it's "CROSSbar."

I haven't heard her on radio..not a radio person. But thanks for the news on her sidekick..he is growing on me. :)

I'm a total talk radio slut/whore in the car. I haven't listened to music since they started the 6,7,8... in a row shit. I can't keep track of who sings what, so I don't know anything about the songs I like. Good thing we have a good progressive AM station here, since my Mustang still has the original radio.

Sigh...I gave up muscle cars a decade ago. :)

I get mad enough when I drive, so cd's are a good thing for me.

Muscle car? It's just a '68 with a little ol' 289 v-8.

Well, it probably doesn't meet the definition..so that part doesn't apply to your 'stang.

But I sadly drive a four cylinder GM product.

I'm glad to know I'm in good company here in Seattle. I love Rachel Maddow! I've been following her since she has been a guest on Kieth's show. I'm so happy to see her w/ her own show. She is such a breath of fresh air compared to the other "news women" on the networks (cable or otherwise). I was hoping to go hear her speak while she was in Seattle. Does anyone know why she broadcasted her Friday show in Seattle? Thanks for any replys!

I've been trying to find out why she was here with no luck. I think she has relatives up here somewhere though, and she may have just come up here to visit them after doing the show with Jay Leno.
