UPDATE: One thing I wish Obama would do -- because we know no one on a network will -- is explain how the capitol gains tax is used to funnel bonus money to corporate fucks. A lot of bonuses are passed on in the form of stock options, that when exercised, are taxed, not as income, but at lower capitol gains rates. Today? Every day? Not sure I get the significance of all this, but it's her whine today. has something to do with Sarah Palin's clothing budget. Or the RNC's clothing budget for her. I didn't hear what she said, but she's made the point that double the usual emails are coming in this morning. Look to her to repeat some form of her performance; attention whore.
This is all a red herring. Sarah Palin is an idiot, a dangerous one. Whether you dress her as a hockey mom, or a prime time teevee star, not counting "Survivor," she's an idiot and note worth your vote. Not enough to change your mind about voting McCrazed either. Joe the Plumber
Distraction.
Just another example of McStain's "Brillyunce of Idiocy" approach to campaigning. Pick someone to put out in front of you as an embodiment of your policy proposals, whose hopes and dreams will be squashed by your opponent's policies. Never mind that most of your premises are not true, ie LIES. The Lie Component is essential to the strategy.
First off, just the process of uncovering the lies is labeled "intrusion." "Joe never asked for this." Did he ask for you to bring up his situation, Johnny Surge? Give permission to do so?
The fact that he owes back taxes, just shows that he's overwhelmed by the burden of an unfair system. Did he not fill out his forms correctly to take full advantage of those grand and glorious Bush tax cuts that "overwhelmingly helped the vast majority of Americans?" That would be calling him stupid; showing disrespect for working class, ordinary people.
The fact that he is indeed not a licensed plumber, just shows the impediments ordinary Americans face as they pursue their dreams. Licensing, regulation bad, Bad, BAD. Never mind the misrepresentation and the fact that the guy Is.... Not... a Plumber.
Never mind that the guy doesn't make anywhere near enough to qualify for a loan to buy the business has he supposedly desires. Now.... is that an example of the need for more deregulation? Do we need sub-prime small business loans now?
We are the bad ones: Pointing out facts is now, "dragging a good man's name through the mud." Has nothing to do with the fact that he was first put in that mud by the lying. In all of this, we -- liberals, Democrats, McSame opponents, the wicked evil press corps -- miss the over arching narrative of the American Dream and the "Good Old Days." Never mind that that's a crock of shit on several levels.
I made the mistake of voting for Reagan; twice, no less. When HW , Daddy Bush, came along with his Willie Horton adds and other negative shit, distorting facts and dividing the country, I thought I'd seen the worst. It was so obvious to me: You go negative, when you have no positives.
Then came W, Jr Bush, the "uniter not a divider," who was willing to "reach out to all those who embrace our vision." That's not uniting; that's circling the wagons. He proceeded to divide the country further than I ever imagined someone could. He did it through lying, but he lied with a bit of style. A lot of his lies were encoded within his butchered grammar and syntax. While we made fun of how he talked, he did what he said. He passes/signs the Clear Skies Initiative that dirties the skies. He declares National Parks Week when he cuts the national parks' budget. And it goes on and on.
Now we have Johnny Mac... McCain the Insane... Grampy... McSame... The lies are there once again, and this time they're blatant. Obama repeatedly talks of cutting taxes for 95% of Americans and McSurge repeatedly talks of his desire to raise taxes. Cock sucking Fucker's on MSNBC right now spewing more lies... bringing up his fake plumber again... promising more tax cuts for businesses... that already pay no taxes..? Keeping taxes low, creates jobs... like they have for the last 8 years?

In case you missed it, his cabinet was built for war: Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld -- when he couldn't get "Stormin' Norman." Fucker didn't decide to invade after 9-11, he decided before he ran.
Senator Surge has some real self loathing going on. After becoming a POW by intercepting a missile with his jet, he takes out his anger and frustration by fucking over the next generations of our armed forces. As Keith O pointed out tonight, the fucker's fought tooth and nail against every dime to go toward improving the lot of lives of Dubya's cannon fodder. Five billion worth, I believe it stands at present. He's trying to make every soldier suffer worse than he did. Why? Cuzz he can't let go of 'Nam.

As I was reading on Raw Story this morning A story about McStain's flip-flopping on telecom immunity, among other shit, I noticed a link to a Charlie Savage article. Charlie's the guy who started screaming about the George Fuckya's signing statements way back when he'd only violated about 700 laws. Well, Charlie somehow or other quizzed most all of the Preznitial candidates on their views on executive power and privilege. (I say most because I noticed no links to Gravel or Dennis Kucinich)
It's an interesting read (although after you click around on the various links enough times, the Globe will want you to register), and not just because of the McStain-Obama contrast. Get this kids... Senator Bomb-bomb has N-O legal adviser; at least not at the time he was questioned. Since he's got Rove the turdblossom helping out, I don't have a lot of confidence that he would hire someone above and beyond Gonzo's abilities.
Plus, considering the fact that Biden, Richardson and others are considered front runners for positions in an Obama Admin, it's good to know how these people think about things.
Update: The same Raw Story article contains a link to a Salon article by Glenn Greenwald on McShame and his ever changing non-positions on things. As always, Glenn is a great read.
As I was reading on Raw Story this morning A story about McStain's flip-flopping on telecom immunity, among other shit, I noticed a link to a Charlie Savage article. Charlie's the guy who started screaming about the George Fuckya's signing statements way back when he'd only violated about 700 laws. Well, Charlie somehow or other quizzed most all of the Preznitial candidates on their views on executive power and privilege. (I say most because I noticed no links to Gravel or Dennis Kucinich)
It's an interesting read (although after you click around on the various links enough times, the Globe will want you to register), and not just because of the McStain-Obama contrast. Get this kids... I just can't bring myself to use the term, Reverend, with this asshole. I couldn't think of his name last night, but thankfully JP did.
There are reasons why people can say, God Damn America," and this guy is one of them. The fact that so many in Amerika find his views more than acceptable is another. And the fact that our corporate media allows this shit to remain under wraps is yet another.
Don't give me any, "Love it or Leave it," lines. That's a bullshit cop out. A way to avoid any introspection while you take pride in your ignorance.

Today's surgery went well. Hopefully I have fewer problems than I've had with the first: My right. Big ass mess that side. back to the topic..:
I'm not convinced I need to stop calling Wright, "Reverend," Hagee... Earns no such respect from me, going by anything I've heard or read, and that includes Fux News. Robertson...
I should have heard this before, and I probably did, but just needed to be reminded, but way back on his "Who's to blame in some ridiculous cosmic sense for the individual decisions of a dozen and a half crazies from a country half a world away," incantation, he brought all of his, "they who are to be blamed, " under the umbrella of, "those who are trying to secularize America," label.

Someone far more qualified than I will do this analysis in a far more rational manner than I, but, Bush is one of those serial killers/sociopaths who's "in control." He's in control enough to create a cover for his efforts: He's created his "Mad Cowboy," persona. The stumbling, bumbling idiot that you'd love to buy a beer in the hopes he'll do something that your grandkids will want to hear you tell every chance they can ask.
McCain's a total loose cannon. Out of control. A berserker. Ted Bundy dashing and slashing his last few victims. If it's possible...
Mo-Fo's crazier than Dubya.
And there are morons out their who are willing to vote for insanity, if their Hill/Bar isn't the nominee. What-fuckin-ever...............

Party Poopers?
That's the title to a column here in the PI by Robert L Jamieson on Monday. I've heard of this shit before, but in light of some of McCain's latest broadsides from his Senile Express.... I've fucking had enough.
Jamieson goes into a long description of this chick and her background as a Jewish Liberal, blah blah blah, but then she says that if Hillary's not on the ballot, she'll vote for McCain. I read that and I'm like, Whoa Bitch, you listening to yourself? You're willing to put another 4 years of Bush on the country, because....? Why again? ??? Well there's this shit:
His pitch riles her -- what she sees as his inability to offer concrete policies beyond buzzwords like "change."
This "experience" argument makes my fucking blood boil. She has "Government experience" from being a first lady to a governor and a president? Besides fucking him,
we assume,
just WHAT did she do? Seriously, WHAT? Why not put Nancy Reagan up for office?
Seriously.
WHY not?
Ohhhhhh.... Nancy's not a senator. Back to "experience"...

There's Good experience, and there's Bad experience. When I sat through my education classes I came across a quote from James.... oh fuck that's his last name... anyway,
Supposedly some lady was trying to make a point to him and she told him that she'd taught for "x" number years. His response was to ask had she taught "x" number of classes, or one class "x" number of times?
Experience at doing the wrong thing, no matter how many times, how many years, doesn't count. Keep defending that Iraq War vote Hills. The only reason to defend the indefensible is that you believed in the original indefensible position: You wanted the fucking war, for some damn reason.
I haven't written to (her through) the PI, and I doubt there's any reason to:
Frooman remains unmoved. "I'm not voting this way because I'm endorsing the Republicans," she said. "I'm just so annoyed with the Democrats."
And the next time you don't like what you see in the mirror, do you cut yourself or break the mirror? Oh hell, nuke it from orbit; it's the only way to be sure, Right?
A vote for McCain, is exactly that.

"My big concern is Social Security," Frooman said. "I haven't heard him say much about that."
well, Jonny Mac certainly offers concrete.... concrete. He's a cement head. He admits to knowing nothing about economics, and has basically turned all that stuff over to Phil Graham, who makes Reagan look like an amateur when it comes to deregulating and letting industry have their way. He likes Dubya's plans to destroy Social Security too. So we can save it.
There's also the issue of the resume. Obama has held his seat in Congress for three years, compared with Clinton's seven.
