Remember CNN's Tea Bagger Express?

Where were they? The "Save America Convention." Whoooo heeee...

300 people. WOW. Some grass roots movement there. This is why I don't use the term "Tea Party." It's NOT a party, and doesn't deserve the respect required of that term. It only exists when the Monopolists want it to exist in order to "populize" their objectives, like screwing your kids' teachers so they can get their tax cuts. Or nullifying your election of your city or county councils, or your school board, etc, so a commissar can be appointed at an exorbitant salary to add further indignities to that screwing. All in the name of fairness: Nobody should have anything since I have nothing, and fiscal austerity: We're broke so we need to cut taxes, and shared sacrifice: sharing the space in the culvert you've moved into since you've lost your house.

This isn't conservatism. It's insanity. It's by its very definition Fascism.

File this one next to all those articles about how the Secessionist State, and gubner Hair Club has weathered the recession to the tune of a 20 some billion dollar deficit. Obviously due to their state's workers union contracts and pensions, and... oh wait... they don't have any of that there. Money from that failed federal-overreaching stimulus bailout for unions fund only go so far

Texas Used Stimulus to Cover 97% of Its Deficit

I guess.

Damned liberal bias of that corporate owned media...

Outlawing unions and collective bargaining.... puts us right in there with North Korea, Myanmar (Burma), Communist China, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia, Mussolini's Italy, among others. Yeah. Right where we want to be. But hey...

At least we won't be Socialist. Big ol thumbs up on that one.

Keith Olberman can now Sleep Soundly

The truth is out, and so is she: Stephanie Miller has declared she is gay. Someone that smart and that hot, could only be a childless spinster with dusty old eggs and only two huge dogs and a box of wine for company for one of two reasons: She either wants to be, or she is gay. OK, there are other possible reason, neuroses, lunacy, raving bitchiness, but you catch my drift.

Was I surprised? No. I'm actually kind of surprised it took this long, but then she has that conservatard heritage, her father being Barry Goldwater's running mate, to overcome, as well as her, "My future husband_________," (fill in the blank with Olberman or whatever fearlessly outspoken liberal she happens to be interviewing) shtick.

Maybe one of these days society will be mature enough that people won't have to hide there affections and desires like this for so long Maybe one of these days society will be mature enough that people can feel free to love who they love with no fears. Stalkers and crazies we'll deal with on a case by case basis.

So.... out with the old and in with the new? Fantasies?

Let's Re-Convene Nuremburg

Poor judgment. That what an associate something or other in the Obama inJustice Department has found. And here I'd been thinking that the rejected finding of Professional Misconduct was wishy washy and crockshitleeishious.

The mothfuckers wrote opinions that essntially said that war crimes are legal; when the US does them. Torture is not torture; when the US does it. Take away John McCain's "hero" badge. He wasn't tortured. He was enhancedly interrogated.

We had a Harvard MBA running up record deficits, "running the government like a business."

We now have a "Constitutional Scholar" taking the treatment of prisoners (of war) back to the Dark Ages, so we can "look forward, not back." So much for Nuremberg; so much for the Andersonville Trial. I guess Hitler's advisors exercised "poor judgment" as well? ???

I guess legal opinion, like history, is written by the victor.

Change we can believe in?

I Hate it when Refuckyoucans are Right

Although even when they stumble and fall and manage to find their ass, they drop the flashlight. Put another way, they're right for all the wrong reasons.

In 44 minutes the pools in Massachusetts will close. We'll no for sure who will be the next senator. The Irish money is on the conservatard. If he wins, I'm not so sure it's a bad thing. Unlike Ed Schultz, I think it might be the best chance at getting through to Obama, that we'll have, and keep his compromising, sorry ass from getting booted in 2012.

I know that when I get up and turn on the Scar and his trained seal Mika B at 5 am tomorrow, I'll hear him pontificate -- while Mika subserviently nods along -- about how this election is a referendum on Obama and his policies. He's right; it is. I think. On the other hand, he'll do what he does so often and totally miss the point -- if he indeed even aims for it -- while proclaiming that Obama's too radical and too far to the left and too partisan and how he has to get back to the center, and how he needs to concentrate on jobs, jobs, jobs... What can I say. He's a pundit, not a journalist, and he's paid by a corporation to do their bidding, so he isn't ethically bound to be honest or objective.

This health care bill is CRAP. Even the good things in it, don't kick in til years down the road. The back room deals with pharma and Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu absolutely stink of corruption. The fines placed on employers who provide insurance that's good are dehumanizing. No more denials based on pre-existing conditions, just denials from overpricing when they find out you have one. No more life time caps on services, just yearly caps. Change? Stop jerking my weenie. He and his cronies, Rham and the Baucus Caucus, took something that could have been simple and they made it so complicated it makes the Gordian knot look like a half hitch.

So any way.... What happens if we lose this seat? We lose "our 60 seat, filibuster proof majority." No we don't. We never had one. It's been a myth. Lieberman's a refuckyoucan by any sensible measure and Nelson and the other blue dogs, are showing their true colors as well. The flip side of Dems not having 60 seats is that the assholes on the other side don't have 60 either. So.... no matter what sort of shitheadulousness this guy espouses, none of it will come to pass. Unless the dems roll over and allow it. You know, like they did with FISA. And Iraq. And tax cuts. and...

Obama's greatest fault as I've seen it has been his Quixotic pursuit of the mythical bipartisanship. The refucks simply have NO interest in dealing with the dems. Obama needs to pull his head out of his ass and acknowledge this FACT. He needs to realize that the people who elected him did not want him snuggling up with corporations. We want him reigning them in, kicking their asses. we want him to be a diplomat with other countries, and a hard ass here at home.

5 minutes....

The dems will have ONE year grace to get their shit in a pile. To win (back) our trust. As it now stands, I am NOT voting for Patty Murray. She lost my vote when she helped kill the Dorgan amendment which would have saved us BILLIONS through lower prices on prescription drugs. I'm sure she was falling in line with Obama's wishes, but the vote was wrong. I don't know how she's going to undo that, but...? I'm sure I'm not the only disaffected liberal democrat with such a story. Obviously; look at Mass; and ignore Scar's analysis.

One year from now, if nothing has changed, there will be a MASSIVE bloodbath at election time.

"Million" Moron March

via Raw Story:

"As Josh Marshall reported at TalkingPointsMemo, the fire department estimated the crowd at 60,000 to 70,000 people -- a "respectable" size, but..."

Nowhere what was hoped? expected? or what will be claimed by the Foxtards, I imagine.

the media sems so concerned about the "health" of the refuckyoucan party. As if they ever contribute anything of value to society. Racist crazies. Palin/Bachman for preznit...?

I'm off to work to try to keep up with insurance premiums.

PS My condolences to Firestarter.

Can You Hear Me Now?

Not too long ago I came up with a tag. Tonight, Keith O showed a shining example of why that tag exists.

Do the followers of the refuckyoucan/conservatard powers-that-be ever make the slightest effort to listen to the bull shit they spew? Come on. I mean really.

I'm glad there are people like Keith who can listen to Vannity; I can't. I am physically, mentally and emotionally incapable.

Here it Is

Or here they are, which ever the case may be.

As I said yesterday, Crooks and Liars would have the Hardball appearance of Lebanon, PA's own Princess Poofie Brain, Katy Abram. O'Donnell takes it easy on her, kid gloves all the way, although he can't quite totally hide his amusement.

You watch the You Tube video and you might think for a moment that she actually has something to say. She appears all prepared like a good little school girl... the dog didn't eat her homework (she gets up at about the 5 minute mark)... she shows she can read, and gets quite the ovation from the rest of the lemmings in attendance.

The woman's worse than a moron. I can feel sorry for a moron. This woman's a phony, and I HATE phonies. Go to You Tube though, and you'll find there are those who think she's all that and a bottle of douche. Someone with a stronger stomach can critique her appearance on Hannity.

So What's the Difference Between Right Wing Loonies and Mainstream Republicans?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Welcome to the fringe Senator Charles Grassley, who now agrees with Sarah Palin as to the existence of, or the intent of President Obama to create, Death Panels.

Sarah Palin has neither shame nor sense nor honor nor even a modicum of common decency. We know this. At least on the left we know this. When she lies, it's all in a day's work. It's expected. A surprise would be her telling the truth, but I doubt she's known any form of that for... who knows. To be charitable: She's crazy as a shithouse rat.

Tell us Mr Grassley, ranking refuckyoucan member of the Senate Finance committee, member of the so-called Gang of Six, working toward a "bi-partisam compromise" on health care "reform," What the fuck is your excuse for your lunatic statements? ???

Every pundit on MSNBC has talked about it this evening, so the good folks at Crooks and Liars will surely post a You Tube clip.

The Siren Song of White Trash

Sooo.... I was listening to Ron Reagan here on AM1090, and someone compared Sarah Palin to his dad.

Ooops. Ron no likey.

So I AM embarrassed by the fact that I voted for RR twice, but on an empirical level I have to agree with Ron that the two are nothing alike. Besides the rack, gender, m_lfishness ( No.... I wouldn't like to)... Intellectually there is no comparison. Yeah, Reagan had that "folksy" persona that the refucks have tried to make their brand, and butchered it in the process, but I don't remember Reagan ever showing pride in his ignorance. But I digress....

One point Ron made while objecting to the caller was that his dad wrote his own speeches, and expressed some serious doubt in Palin's ability to do so. I listened to that and thought, "Whoa! You just insulted the fuck out of every speechwriter past, present and future. Who the fuck would ever admit to writing that unintelligible mish-mash of gibberish and buffooonery?" That shit made her answers to Katie Couric look like they belong in "Great Moments of Genius."

BTW... Hannity owes me dinner. Yes I tuned in to his show the other night. He still lives in his own little country: Hannity's America." It sure ain't mine. I was amazed as he sat there looking so.... dumbfounded I suppose as he defended Palin. He actually tried to say she made sense. On the other hand he couldn't say how. Then he went after Obama, real surprise there, trying to say there was no difference between Palin's quitting and Obama's run for president. (of course there was no mention of McCain's run) And then he went on to wonder why no one critized Jante Napolitano or Kathleen Sabelius, or Tammy Duckworth or... who quit to take OTHER JOBS. Serving the country.

Clearly "Hannity's America" is a figment of someone's imagination. Just as Palin's notion of her being a fighter and a champion and a leader and... anything but a quitter and a fraud. What the hell are the 70% of refuckyoucans who say they would vote for her for president thinking? ??? What's Hannity thinking when he puts on his most sincere expresson and says that he would feel more confident with Palin sitting across from Putin than Obama? ???

Mind boggling, all. And her point guard analogy? Passing the ball?

Because you can't make the outside shot? Because you can't drive for the lay up? Because if you draw the foul, you can't make the free throws?

Winners want the ball. End of story.

WTF? ???

I have never in my life heard such an incoherent crock of shit as Sarah Palin's reason(s?) (was there more than one? Was there even one? ???) for quitting as governor.

And people... the refuckyoucan party, and that party's choice for president... thought this... this... whatever she is, was qualified to be one heartbeat away from the Oval Office...? ???

Once again, The Saturday Night Live skit writes itself. No retirement for Tina Fey.

No More Excuses? ???

Norm Coleman finally grows a conscience. Al Franken's in. Sixty votes.

Let's get some shit done that benefits the country, eh?

  1. End the War to Enrich Halliburton
  2. Close Guantanimo
  3. Reform healthcare... and that means reFORM, not... reword, review, rearrange, recapitulate...
  4. Reform the Bankster Industry
  5. Investigate/Prosecute Bush's war crimes
  6. Bring back the Fourth Amendment by repealing/reworking FISA
  7. Repeal the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act and bring back the rest of the Bill of Rights
  8. Un-Fuck our election processes
  9. End "Don't Ask Don't Tell"
for starters.

And if Holy Joe and Arlen try to fuck up the works, then cut them loose and do everything by reconciliation or put an end to filibusters. Do what has to be done to put an end to this tyranny of the minority. Replace Harry Reid with a real leader maybe; like Bernie Sanders.

Hopefully I can retire this tag: And now for another spineless moment from Congress

The Road Too Much Travelled

No, this is not a road trip post. Although I have been on the road quite a bit over the past two days. And that plays a part. Being on the road has given me the chance to listen in on some of my favorite radio shows on AM 1090 here in Seattle: Stephanie Miller; Thom Hartmann; Ed Schultze.

What's struck me is the amount of time and attention being given to irrelevant, bullshitious side show topics like: The (in)effectiveness of torture. A bullet to the head is quite effective in preventing your lover from cheating, but that's murder. And it's illegal.

I know that by giving air time to this crap, they avoid the trap that I fall into: Torture is a war crime; Dubya is a war criminal; end of argument; now what do I talk about for the rest of the show/week/month..? But it's irrelevant whether or not it worked. Just as it's irrelevant that we're "at war." The moral bearings of those subjected to torture is irrelevant.

One of the things that came out during one of Thom's shows was the fact that after 9-11, the Muslim world was united and ON OUR SIDE! There's nothing inherently anti-American about Islam. bin Laden was inspired to do what he did on 9-11 by what we did in Lebanon. And those swelling the ranks of al Qaida are inspired by our actions in Afghanistan, Iraq... and abu Graib, Guantanamo, Bagram...

I don't give a rat's hairy ass if Nancy Pelosi knew about Bush's torture. Or Jane Harmon, or Harry Reid, or... Try them too. They should have their asses kicked just for continuing to use the term "enhanced interrogation." It's TORTURE. And if they knew and approved, then they're, what's the correct term? Assessories? Accomplices? Whatever. Arrest them and try them too. If Congress has to shut down because there's no quorum, so be it.

We're supposedly the good guys.

Then we should act like it.

We should begin by abiding by our own laws. By the treaties we've signed. By past precedents set during say the Nuremberg Tribunals, or the Andersonville Trials.

So where do I get off saying all this? Am I one of Joe Scarborough's morally superior Liberals? or as he said, Liberals who like to get all high and mighty with a sense of moral superiority. It's like this Joe: When you (or your ilk) argue in favor of torture, you place yourself on the same plain as those who would argue in favor of beating their wives or children to keep them in their place and teach them respect. I do nothing.

Am I morally superior to the Scar? I don't know. I suppose if I were given the chance to waterboard Sean Vannity....? What would be the measure? If I stopped when he shit his pants and sputtered his choked off squeals? If I ignored all that? Or if I never started? By ol' thumbs up to Keith O for calling out that little poppinjay. Any wayyyyy....

Don't get caught up in all the superfluity of assenine legal quackdom. Those who authorized, justified, exercised torture are criminals and should be tried as such.

I Shouldn't Have Worried

I was wondering how the refucks would do, calling on the second string. Where was the Boner? Where was Michelle Bachman? Bobby Jindal? He came through like a champ.

Far from the pissantine whine I was expecting, he lied and bull shitted like the best of them.

When he made reference to the government's handling of Katrina... DUDE... YOUR party's president was in charge of that. HIS appointees did those heckuva jobs. YOUR party was in charge of Congress. YOU sat there.

I love how refucks do this: They create government failures so that can point out the failures of government. They create the reasons why we should mistrust government. He references the Refuckyoucan response to Katrina as the reason we should not trust the democrats, but rather the refuckyoucans to provide help to pull us through this Second Republican Depression. "We republicans have ideas." Dude... we get you... your ideas SUCK!!! That's why we've been voting your ilk out these past two elections. I get the idea he believes in those McCainian Economic Fundamentals.

And of course the straight faced bald faced lies: There is no railway from Disneyland to Vegas in the stimulus bill. You refucks have had NO energy plan, besides "drill baby, drill." You have had NO plan for universal health care beyond, "go to the emergency room." You have had NO economic plan beyond tax cuts, when times are good, bad, happy or sad.

BTW Bar.... Helluva speech. Back it up with action and you may force me to take down my Kucinich banner.
